THE SITE:

The site of Tavan Bogd Ger Resort is located in Sergelen Sum, in Tuv Aimag province, around fifty kilometers from Ulaanbaatar city. Access is easy via the main road going from Ulaanbaatar to Zuunmod, and then via an unpaved road for less than ten minutes. The site faces the immense steppe on all sides, and is the ideal place to relax, focus and enjoy a variety of activities. The resort faces all horizons and is also the perfect place to watch stars at night, and to contemplate sunrise and sunset, at the rhythm of seasons, and at the rhythm of days of the year.

 

CONCEPT

Tavan Bogd Ger Resort is a fully comfortable resort, which includes all the amenities necessary for a unique and memorable stay. The resort can be used for important seminars, which will encourage the generation of new ideas and free communcation. It is also the perfect location for spending some time away from the city, and discovering a rich region and exploring the Mongolian countryside.

 

 

RECEPTION

The reception area is a strikingly modern feature in the ger resort. The building is made of high quality concrete using Japanese concrete polishing techniques. Its roof is open on both sides to let in a maximum of natural light. The reception building also boasts a public area for guests to relax or browse the Internet, and several shops: a special cashmere shop and a bookshop as well as a souvenir shop. Behind the lobby area, guests can also access the showers and restrooms, which are all maintained in pristine condition. 

 

RESTAURANT

Tavan Bogd Group has been familiar with the hospitality industry for over ten years. Having successully ran hotels and restaurants in Mongolia for so long, we know that guests deserve the best service. The restaurant has several unique features that will make every meal a delight. First, one whole pan of the ger is open to the outside, opening the view to the landscaped areas of the resort, and then to the endless horizon. Also, the central area is where a generous buffet is served every morning. All tables can also be rearranged to make room for larger groups, who can privatize the restaurant for birthdays and wedding celebrations.

 

CONFERENCE

The resort is equipped with a unique Conference Hall that can welcome up to 160 people. It is the perfect venue for seminars, conferences, company events, weddings and other celebrations. The Conference Hall is equipped with a state-of-the-art audio and video system, and can even accommodate simultaneous translation for your multi-lingual events. The Hall is a “20-wall” size ger, made of a traditional ger structure. It can also be remodeled for different set-ups, at the request of our guests.

 

ACCOMODATION

What better way to enjoy Mongolia than spending some time inside a ger, the traditional habitat of nomads? Tavan Bogd Ger Resort gers are made of high quality wood, and the level of comfort of the beds is second to none in the country. The floor is heated using thin film floor heating, and everything was done respecting the Mongolian traditions, including the interior layout, but also the custom made furniture.

 

RESTROOMS

Being in the middle of the open steppe does not mean that you need to forget all about modern comfort. Our Ger Resort is equipped with four separate restroom facilities. One located in the reception building, another one next to the restaurant building, and finally two toilet blocks are located next to the gers at the end of the camp

 

PUBLIC SPACES

Tavan Bogd Ger Camp is organized around its central plaza. The plaza is the central point of the resort. It is the first point of contact of the guests when entering the resort. It is also the point where people will gather before leaving the camp. Finally, it is the place where people will gather at different times during their stay. The centre of the space shows a compass, which is the symbol of orientation and focus. Each arrow of the compass points to a different direction, and guides the guests to the reception, to the restaurant, and to the conference hall buildings

 

At Tavan Bogd Ger Resort, the sky is clearly the limit. A set of activities are offered to guests, knowing that each and every individual will come with a different purpose in mind:

- Team building activities and company seminars,

- Sport training for high level athletes,

- Horse riding and hiking,

- Yoga seminars and other sport activities,

 Parties and events for large events such as birthdays and weddings,

- Retreats and time out of the city during summer,

- Discovery of nomadic culture,

- Exploring Tuv Aimag, a region rich with many attractions,

- And so much more...
